Congratulations to the CJL Lightning 18U Gold on a Stellar season in 2010. The team had many impressive victories throughout the season, with wins over established Gold teams including California Raiders Gold, Wagners Gold, TC Tremors Gold, RI Thunder Gold, Conklin Raiders Gold, and LI Sudden Impact Gold.

The girls showed they belonged in the major Showcases, with a 2nd place finish in DWI Gold (losing to Champion Newtown Rock Gold), 5th in Pepsi/Ringor 18U Gold, undefeated in TNT summer Showcase (7-0), and great showings in Newtown, Rising Stars. They also played well in PGF, and  lost in Int. tiebreaker 1-0 to eventual undefeated Champion Nightmare Gold in Tom Doyle Invitational in the quarterfinals.

We look forward to even better things in the future, as the foundation has been laid for great play and great times together!

We will be holding tryouts for very skilled players to replace our graduating players on August 19th and 22nd at EB Votech High School. If you interested in joining a top level team, please email any questions to D12ozcurl@aol.com.

A LITTLE HISTORY.....

CJL’s 18U team has been successful from the time of inception in 2005. The team is a multi-talented, incredibly gifted collection of girls that love to play softball! They continue to develop, train, and thrive year after year together while having fun.

Leading this team of talented, dedicated players is Bob Ingle, manager who has supervised this team from the start. The committed coaching staff consists of Tom Blaine and Gary Shereyka.    Sue Krantz is the team’s treasurer.
